He lived in Torquay his whole life.

The first in Torquay to own a Balsa Surfboard

In the early 60’s he was the local agent for Sydney surfboard builders Scott Dillon and Gordon Woods

He sold these boards out the front of his family home on The Esplanade – Wilson Surf Centre, Torquay’

He also worked for Pyke and Klemm Bell, in Torquay, in the 60’s/70’s

He was the first Victorian Surf Champion in 1964

Behind him is his mum’s cafe ‘Idas by the Sea’

His mum was still Belly Boarding and Body Surfing into her 80’s!

“This Man”, “This Board”, “This Poster, “This Movie” changed surfing forever in the late 1960’s.

In 1968 Wayne amazed the world with his film and poster release of Evolution.

The movie was first shown at Lorne, his home town.

In the late 70’s eight of these posters were found at the Lorne Theatre and were then put back in storage until being unearthed again in 2015.

The posters have been appraised by a poster expert.

The five we are going to sell have been verified as 100% original.  We even got Wayne Lynch himself to sign and verify.

There have been many reprints over the years but these are original and over 50 years old.
